Frequently Asked Questions
Why did you help develop a multivitamin?
We were not satisfied with the current crop of multivitamins, and wanted to develop a better one. Our new multivitamins address two important flaws of current multivitamins: quality of vitamin and mineral source materials, and excessive use of non-medicinal ingredients. By using only essential non-medicinal ingredients, and by choosing highly bio-available sources, the caplet can be kept small, making it easier to swallow. We know that many people avoid taking a daily multivitamin because they dread swallowing large tablets. By reducing the caplet size, we hope to encourage daily multivitamin use.
Which multivitamin should I choose?
The choice is up to you! Here are a few points that might help make your decision a little easier:
Total Health
Silver 50+
Energy & Vitality:
Kid's Advantage
What are non-medicinal ingredients?
A non-medicinal ingredient does not have a medicinal effect. Non-medicinal ingredients are required to create tablets and capsules. Required non-medicinal ingredients hold the tablet together and to keep the formula from clumping while mixing. Non-essential non-medicinal ingredients used in many multivitamins include artificial colors, artificial flavors, sugars, oils, chemical preservatives, and fillers such as talc to bulk up the tablet size. BodyBreak multivitamins contain only essential non-medicinal ingredients so the caplet can be kept small.
Why do I need to watch for certain sources of vitamins and minerals?
Not all multivitamins are created equal. Many multivitamins contain low quality sources because these sources are cheaper. Low quality sources are not as readily absorbed by the body. Highly bio-available sources offer more useful minerals for the same dosage size.

How can Bodybreak multivitamins be smaller than other multivitamins if they have the same amount of vitamins and minerals?
BodyBreak multivitamins contain only essential non-medicinal ingredients and use highly bioavailable vitamin and mineral sources. This way the caplet can be kept small, but you still get the recommended amount of active vitamins and minerals.

Not all multivitamins are created equal. Many multivitamins contain low quality sources because these sources are cheaper. Low quality sources are not as readily absorbed by the body. Highly bio-available sources offer more useful minerals for the same dosage size.
Sources of vitamins to watch for:
- Calcium ascorbate for the source of vitamin C. This is a buffered form of vitamin C that is easier on the digestion process and has higher bioavailability.
- Nicotinic Acid, this form of niacin has cardio benefits that Niacinamide does not have. Nicotinic acid has some cholesterol lowering and vasodialating properties.
- Natural Source vitamin E "d alpha tocopherol acetate" versus synthetic "dl alpha tocopheryl acetate." The synthetic form is not as readily absorbed by the body. The natural form has between 1.3 and 2 times the activity as the synthetic variety.
Sources of minerals to watch for:
- Calcium citrate is up to 2.5 times as bioavailable as calcium carbonate used in other multivitamin formulas. This means 100mg of elemental calcium from calcium citrate will provide the body with the same useful calcium as 250mg of calcium carbonate.
- Magnesium citrate is more bioavilable than magnesium oxide.
- Amino acid chelated selenium and molybdenum. This means the metal is bound to an amino acid which improves absorptions. Amino acids are readily absorbed by the body and the mineral hitches a ride.
