This statement will come as no surprise: “Too many children are overweight and out of shape than ever before.” The statistics vary but it’s safe to say that between 15 to 20 percent of children are considered clinically obese. The excuses are numerous and to us the solutions are obvious.
When we fi rst started Body Break in 1988, the word on the street was the growing health concern caused by the lack of activity and poor eating habits of Canadians. Unfortunately, despite efforts to encourage a change and more importantly people ignoring the warnings, we’re now seeing the tragic results of this problem especially with children.
